ABSTRACT

Ethnobotanical studies of the Jharkhand area was carried out through making several trips of the area and performing several meetings with the tribals, farmers and old persons of that area. I found that tribal have a good knowledge of their surroundings specially in relation to the medicinal use of the plants of their locality. This paper deals with 31 spp, belonging to 30 genera and 29 families. These plants are commonly used in diarrhoea, diabetes and dysentery.
