ABSTRACT

The present paper deals with the survey of common medicinal herbs of the family Asteraceae in Raipur District of Chhattisgarh, India. About 44% of the total area of the area is under forest cover, with a rich biodiversity, which has not been fully explored. The survey revealed that 68 species belonging to 51 genera were wild whereas 04 species under 03 genera were found under cultivation. Majority of these species have medicinal utility in various ailments.
