Fertility status of mulberry garden soils of three Districts in North Karnataka

ABSTRACT
Out of 266 samples studied 239 soil samples fell under optimal category, 22 are of acidic in nature and only 05 are of alkaline. But all the soils are of in normal range for electrical conductivity. Mean nutrient index value of organic content is of 1.22 is of low status. Whereas mean nutrient index value for nitrogen, available phosphorus and potassium are of medium status of 1.84, 1.89 and 1.82 respectively.
