ABSTRACT
The present communication deals with the study of diversity and richness of ants from Jalna district of Maharashtra, India during January 2023 to June 2023. The ant were randomly collected by hand picking method from different sites collected specimens preserved in 70% alcohol for further study. A total 170 ant were collected from the study area that representing 7 species belonging to five genera and three subfamilies of the Formicidae. The results shows that the study area is rich in ant diversity.
