ABSTRACT
This study examines rural women’s participation in household decision-making processes in the North and Middle Andaman District of the Andaman and Nicobar Islands. The main objective of the study is to analyze the level and determinants of women’s participation in household decisions with particular emphasis on socio-economic, educational, and familial factors. The study adopts a descriptive and analytical research design using primary data collected from 254 rural women respondents through a structured interview schedule during 2025–2026. Simple Random Sampling Method was employed for selecting respondents. Statistical tools such as Percentage Analysis, Mean and Standard Deviation, Chi-Square Test, Correlation Analysis, Logistic Regression Analysis, and Garrett Ranking Technique were applied for data analysis.
