ABSTRACT
The expanding therapeutic armamentarium for diabetes mellitus has substantially influenced prescribing practices, emphasizing the importance of evaluating real-world utilization of antidiabetic medications and insulin therapy in routine clinical care. This prospective observational drug utilization study assessed prescribing trends among 400 patients with diabetes mellitus attending a tertiary care hospital. Prescription records were systematically reviewed to document demographic characteristics, diabetes type, antidiabetic drug selection, insulin utilization, routes of administration, and prescribed dosage ranges. Data were analysed using descriptive statistics and presented as frequencies and percentages
